Happy Diwali to everyone!!!!
On this Diwali I am sending you CASH:
Please do accept with love… And I hope you had a colorful and safe Diwali!!
This Diwali I thought of doing something “special”. I made diyas from melted wax on chotti Diwali and gifted them to my bua…
It was really fun making these candles… First I made a hole in the bottom of the mould and inserted the wick through it the way it was instructed in the kit, then I melted the wax. I applied a little oil in the moulds so that the diya would come out neatly later on. I then poured the melted wax into the candle moulds… Then I left it to cool down… It came out very lovely…
I then decided to gift it to my aunt… I put the candles into a box (I also put bubble-wrap to give it a professional look :P) and decorated the box. my bua was very happy to get this gift… 🙂 🙂
I also made rangoli 🙂 and I have clicked a lot of pictures as well. I will share them with you soon….maybe tomorrow…. so keep watching 🙂 🙂 🙂
2011 is coming to an end.
Goodbye 2011. Hello 2012 🙂 🙂 🙂
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year 2012
My mom was making some handmade cards to wish our family and friends a Happy New Year 2012. Sangeeta Aunty had given her this idea of making cards with dried flowers. I liked this idea so much that I have hijacked this from her and made these cards myself:) 🙂 🙂
Aren’t they all pretty??? I love them and hope that you would love them too.
Thank you Sangeeta Aunty for this fabulous idea!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Hope you like my Snowman 🙂 🙂 🙂
We don’t get to see snow here in Delhi. So we don’t get to make a real snowman either. 😦 😦
So I thought why not make it with paper and what fun… this way i can even carry him around with me!!!! And It will never melt away so it is going to be with me for a long, long, long time 🙂 🙂 🙂
Here is another Bookmark which my mom has made for me 🙂 I LOVE it !!!! and I am sure you will too 🙂 🙂 🙂
Hello all! 🙂 🙂 🙂
hope you are all happy and healthy. 🙂 Also hope that you all had good fun on Diwali. I enjoyed myself on Diwali and I can say that without any doubt that Diwali is my favouritest festival of all 🙂 🙂 🙂
I want to share with you all the photographs of the rangoli I made on Diwali. So here it is ………All lit up with so many diyas surrounding it . Hope you like it 🙂 🙂 🙂
This candle is sooooooo pretty …. I love it!!!!!!!
We set up a few floating candles in glass containers. It is such a pleasure to float burning candles 🙂 🙂 🙂
All the left over flowers….. arranged in the shape of a diya
Happy Dussehra to all of you!
I would like to share my experiences of dusserha this year.
My mother bought a Paper craft kit for making the effigy of Ravan. The kit was called ” MAKE YOUR OWN RAVANNA”. It consisted of printed snd perforated cutouts for various parts of Ravan’s body and dress and accessories made on card paper. It also had the instructions how they should be joined together to give a 3 dimensional model of the Ravan’s effigy.
It took me aquite some time to put this together. Whew! It was so complicated! My mom helped me out in the really small parts and tricky areas 🙂
My Nanaji said, ” Why are you making Raavan? Make Rama instead!” 🙂 🙂 🙂
But at last, after much struggle with fevicol, feviquick stapler and cello tape , our Raavan was ready…………..
Look at the way he is laughing!!!!! He has no idea that he has been created only to be destroyed!!!!!
At night, I had to do what I wasn’t willing to do……. I had to burn my Raavan! 😦 😦
You only tell why would I burn it? After so much efffort and struggle I made this masterpiece………
Well, look at the head on the right hand side!!… They have tilted a bit
I think it too was sad that it was about to be burned.
Here I am, burning something that I had myself put together with my hardwork.
when it caught fire, it burnt firecely and toppled over!!!
………. It was fun watching it burn!!!
Burn Raavan burn!! And take all the evils of this world with you.
Bye Bye Raavan!!!!
This is my very first attempt at quilling 🙂 And I am happy with the result. I learned a new technique and made a beautiful card from it. I love the flower 🙂 and I also like the border where I have written birthday wishes in likhita japa style. I hope you will like it too 🙂 🙂 🙂
Father’s Day Card
Here is the card that I had made for my father and my grandfather on Father’s Day this year.
I am sorry I am posting this a little late :(…
Ok I am VERY, VERY, late in posting this but i guess, it is better late than never! 🙂 🙂 🙂
what do you say ? 😀
I found the idea for this card from here-
I tried my hand at Warli art and so enjoyed it 🙂 🙂 This is easy and fun!!! I am going to be doing this quite a lot in the future… I promise you 🙂 🙂 🙂
